The problem
On a move to S/4HANA, users and roles have to be right on day one. Wrong authorizations either block people from working or give them more access than they should have.
The approach
- Mapped existing users to their roles in the new system.
- Created users and assigned roles, following least privilege.
- Tested access with key users before go-live.
The result
500 users were ready to work at go-live, with their roles following least privilege from day one, and access tickets stayed quiet in the weeks that followed.
